Steve has always been interested in building and fixing things. His dad, an engineer and his biggest mentor, introduced him to the field when he took Steve to his office as a kid. He’ll never forget seeing a physical plastic model of a plant being constructed straight from the design plans–it was impressive. Back then, they didn’t use computers to model designs.

Steve has spent his entire career on the consulting side of engineering, working his way up from mechanical engineer to project engineer, then project manager, and now Director of Project Delivery. Along the way, he was also fortunate to spend some time in sales, allowing him to see things from the client’s point of view.

What draws Steve to project management is his love for collaborating with people, finding ways to make processes more efficient, and tackling challenges that push us to learn and grow. “I know I’m not the smartest person in the room,” which is why Steve believes so much in partnership–”when we work as a team, we all get better.”

In his free time, Steve loves spending time with his family.  They like to camp, ski, and travel.  His daughter is very active in sports. Steve coached her teams when she was younger and now enjoys spending most of his time on the sidelines watching her play.

I believe in doing things right the first time and staying focused on removing all the issues and obstacles.
