“I enjoy organizing and planning projects — pulling the correct team together to get the owner the result they envisioned.”

As a student, math and science always came easy to Ben, so engineering was the perfect fit in terms of career path. After working in the biofuels and solvent extraction industry for Cargill, he joined KFI. He appreciates the variety of projects and industries, as well as the committed midwestern work ethic focused on delivering the best possible product for clients.

Ben’s industry experience as a chemical engineer includes engineering, project management and operation experience in soybean extraction, biodiesel production, and USP-grade glycerine refining. Flexible and results-oriented, he has experience in both the design and management of full-scale facility operations. He has served as project manager during the preliminary engineering and design phases of various-sized construction projects. Along with his design experience, Ben has extensive full-time field experience in the construction and start-up phases of industrial project work.

His downtime is dedicated to family activities. They often head for the lakes during the summer to enjoy boating, skiing, and tubing.
