“I really enjoy the problem-solving component of this work. I like to utilize strong theoretical skills with practical job site experience to arrive at effective solutions. It’s very rewarding to work with the owners and KFI team members to turn the corner on the various engineering challenges that we face.”

John began to have a strong affinity for mathematics as a grade school student and decided to pursue his engineering career as a senior in high school. His father, who worked in manufacturing engineering, was an inspiration for his career path.

John has an extensive contracting background and brings a strong combination of skills to the table. His first 13 years out of college were developed working in the mechanical contracting field. In 1999, he joined Fosdick & Hilmer, now KFI Engineers, and obtained his engineering licensure. From there, he grew his career in the mechanical/plumbing design, utilities, construction administration, and commissioning fields. During his time here, he has worked on a variety of projects ranging from healthcare and education to utilities and commercial power plants.

Outside of work, John and his wife have one daughter. When not working, John is an avid runner, a big fan of college basketball, and enjoys live music performances.
