Last week we joined in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the Kentucky National Guard’s new Joint Force Headquarters.

KFI designed the fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems for the 63,725-square-foot, two-story office building that supports training, administrative, and logistical requirements of the Kentucky Army and Air National Guard Joint Force Sections. The building has private and open office areas, multiple conference rooms, an auditorium, classrooms, heated equipment storage, a vault, an elevator, restrooms, a telecommunications room, electrical/mechanical spaces, a break room, and other employee support areas. A grid-connected photovoltaic system on the roof is designed to supplement electricity from the local utility company. A diesel generator provides backup power for emergency life safety systems and other essential loads.

We are proud to have been part of the team that helped to bring this state-of-the-art facility to life for the National Guard.
