Tim Coyle holds Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology. He has 41 years of experience, focused primarily on planning, design, and commissioning of power generation and distribution systems for large industrial and institutional facilities and is currently a Senior Technical Specialist with KFI Engineers. Tim has also held plant engineering positions with supervisory and budget responsibility for operations and maintenance of power systems. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and a licensed Master Electrician in Minnesota. Tim has been active in IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems standards development for over 20 years, serving on the Reliability Subcommittee and Working Group, and is currently chair of the Emergency and Standby Power Subcommittee.
