KFI is providing engineering design services for a nominally 910kW-DC ground-mount solar PV system to provide clean energy directly to the University of Notre Dame. Preliminary engineering studies performed by KFI provided the University with an analysis of potential designs to achieve a system that aligned well with the University’s economic, social, and environmental goals for themselves and their community. The system, which is being built this summer, will provide on average 1.2 gigawatt hours of energy and reduce campus greenhouse gas emissions by 600-700 tons annually.
