Excitement is building as the R.M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center at Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital nears completion. Commissioning and functional performance testing are underway. KFI is focused on verifying the operation of critical systems, including HVAC, life safety, fire protection, medical gas, lighting controls, refrigeration, and elevators. Building pressurization and pressure cascade controls are also being tested as part of this phase.
The facility remains on track for turnover to Allina Health in June, with the first patient expected in August.
