Last week, KFI attended the opening ceremony for the Richard M. Schulze Surgical and Critical Care Center on Allina Health’s Abbott Northwestern Hospital campus in Minneapolis. KFI provided full commissioning services for the new facility, verifying sensors, systems, and components across 30 operating rooms. Systems tested included pressure cascade HVAC, pressure cascade controls, plumbing, medical gas, electrical, fire protection, lighting controls, refrigeration, and elevators.
KFI staff were onsite throughout the project to confirm each piece of equipment was installed correctly and functioning properly before the facility welcomes its first patient.
Powered by the Central Utility Plant that KFI also helped bring to life, the new center supports Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s ability to deliver exceptional care for generations to come.
