ST. PAUL, MN — KFI Engineers, a recognized industry leader in process and facility infrastructure design, announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire EBCx Services, a Hernando, FL-based retrocommissioning firm.

EBCx Services was formed in 2016 by Scott Gordon, focusing on optimizing building performance through technical commissioning, retrocommissioning, and Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) services, across a variety of sectors including military, government, manufacturing, commercial real estate and high-tech industries.  EBCx Services evolved after decades of experience within the mechanical services, TAB, and commissioning industries.

“KFI and EBCx Services share a strong commitment to technical excellence, client service, and practical problem-solving,” said Robert Linder, P.E., Vice-President of KFI. “We are pleased to welcome their team to KFI and excited about the opportunities this acquisition creates for our clients. The addition of EBCx strengthens our building performance capabilities, expands our technical expertise, and enhances our ability to deliver the responsive, high-quality service our clients have come to expect. We are pleased to add such a talented and respected team to the KFI family.”

“Joining the KFI team represents an exciting opportunity for our organization,” commented Scott Gordon, founder of EBCx Services. “While we have built a strong reputation serving our clients, becoming part of KFI allows us to broaden our resources and capabilities while maintaining the same commitment to quality and customer service that has defined our business. We look forward to continuing to support our clients as part of KFI.”
