Fargo Public Schools Horace Mann Elementary School Groundbreaking

May 29, 2026

Last week, we joined Fargo Public Schools staff and students, school board members, and construction and architecture teams for the new Horace Mann Elementary School groundbreaking. The new school will serve more than 400 students in grades K–5, providing North Fargo families with a contemporary, high-performing educational facility designed to support student success.

KFI designed the mechanical systems, including dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) and chilled beam systems. The design also incorporates hydronic heated louvers to keep snow out of the ductwork systems, acting as a pre-heat coil and assisting with defrosting the energy wheel in the DOAS.

KFI is also providing comprehensive commissioning services for the project. Commissioning activities began during the design phase and the commissioning team will continue to play an active and collaborative role throughout the construction phase. Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2028.

We’re thrilled to contribute to this important project for Fargo Public Schools!
