Construction is moving forward quickly on Scheels new 259,000 square-foot Colorado Springs Store. KFI is providing Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Commissioning Services for this project. This will be Scheels’ 29th location when it opens in the Spring of 2021 and the third to open within the last two years.
The mechanical systems include a central chiller plant, central boiler plant, packaged rooftop units, fan coil units, and hydronic snowmelt around the entire building perimeter.
Natural gas generators are being installed to allow for load shedding off the electrical utility and provide the Owner with energy cost savings.
