We were excited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 11 office in Manchester, Kentucky.
KFI provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design, including fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical requirements (lighting, low-voltage, and power). An emergency generator for the entire building was also included in the new design and new electric vehicle (EV) stations were provided to meet the state’s fleet requirements.
The new building has been LEED Certified representing 20% energy savings and 35% indoor water savings based on the LEED rating system. These aggregate savings result in cost savings for the State of Kentucky and contribute to further development and economic growth throughout the state.
